Not a ton of info out there on Benchmark, well, not nearly as much as the other standby's such as the 4895's and Varget...

I just grabbed an 8lb'er and was planning to cook up some 168gr .308 Amax loads, figure it should meter better than 4895 thru my Dillon...

Anyone else use this powder for medium weight .308 loads for a short barrel semiauto? Pet loads?

All I can find so far is 38-42gr on hodgepodge's web site... Anyone wanna back that up?

Heh.... Well imagine that

.308 168gr Amax
2.800" COAL
CCI BR-2
FC cases
41.5 and 42.0 show promising groups so did 39.5 and 40.0

Now to load up a few more in that ballpark and stretch it out some... Seems to meter very well thru my Lee measure, if all is well after tommorow we will see how it meters thru the Dillon :)

2.81" is my COAL, I am limited to staying below 2.82" in my remmy 700. I am using FC brass and found 41.5 with those. With RP brass I up it to 42.5 with great results
