All are invited to the Benchrest Open House being held May 9th at the Rosebud Silhouette & Benchrest Club.

We are West of Calgary. https://goo.gl/maps/j3MZ9Z2zfEA2 Note no need for the K Country visitor pass if you are only going to the range.

Video about BR shooting at Rosebud:

Details are on the attached poster, including a QR code to sign up or you can just email me at rickpollock@shaw.ca to register. There is no cost to attend, we just need to know how many are coming to plan for helpers and the BBQ.

This is a great chance to learn what centerfire Benchrest is all about in an informal atmosphere. We will have hands on demonstrations of all aspects of Benchrest shooting and competition including live fire opportunities for anyone so inclined to try out a BR rifle.

There will be a free BBQ at noon. It will run 9am to 4pm. Bring hearing protection and eye protection.

Rick

A reminder - we are a little over two weeks away from this event. I encourage everyone to come and spend a few hours with us at Rosebud. If you haven't been to Rosebud in the last few years you are in for a treat. It is open to all, you don't need to be a member. There is no cost. BBQ provided. Follow the QR code above to register or email me at rickpollock@shaw.ca See you there.

It is the same club, they relocated Rosebud Club to Kananaskis Country around 1986 from what I have been told. They never changed the name. Watch the video above. It is a far cry from the pasture days.

Absolutely beautiful... the concrete benches must have been made at the same company in Calgary as the Namaka club used... they look identical. Wish I was 40 years younger and living in Calgary.

Great day today at the Open House. Close to 50 attendees and 12 helpers. Seems like a few folks have found their way to the slippery slope of BR. Thanks to the Club for the venue and to all the helpers in the clubhouse and the firing line along with Gary and his crew who hosted the BBQ. Next up is our first shoot of the season June 13/14, which is the 4 Gun at 100 yds event. Reminder we will have the BR201 school on the Thursday, then ask Hugh and Rob a question Friday.
