Benelli 828u

I just got one. Ugly it isn't. The gun is a marvel of technology. It points very fast and shoots like a dream.
And yes, the new recoil system works very well. Using Federal target ammo, you don't feel a thing.
It's built on the semi platform, therefore making it very adjustable. I love Beretta's, but they are heavy
and don't fit me well. This thing is light and beautiful.

As much as I love the look and feel of traditional O/U shotguns I can't help but feel drawn to the new looks of the Browning Cynergy and the Benelli 828U. I can't explain it...and I haven't had a chance to handle either of them but I am definitely looking forward for that chance at doing just that. I kinda like the synthetic stocked models of the Cynergy for a field gun. The Benelli 828U has some pretty intense changes in the way things lock up, get cocked, and even the selective auto eject system. Not sure how these major changes will stand up after years of intense service but I guess only time will tell us if this is leading edge technology or a super folly but sometimes the more moving parts a thing has the more problems it can have. Still I would have them both if cash wasn't always an issue.
