If someone owns a Benelli Ethos, I'm hoping you could give me a hand.

If you live anywhere close to Toronto/southern Ontario, I'd like to take a quick look at the bolt carrier and bolt.

Otherwise, if someone would be willing to take a couple of pictures and send them my way, I'd be very grateful.

I'm looking for pictures of the detent in the bottom of the bolt carrier, and how it interfaces with the bolt.
Maybe some feedback as to how strong that detent spring is.

Thanks
Paul

Having trouble? I had one and shot it well at clays However it became very unreliable after about two cases oftarget shells and would fail to put the 2nd shot in battery on a regular basis even with 3 dram ammunition.

Interesting.
Kind of the opposite of what that system was designed to do.

I don't have an Ethos but was contemplating trying to do something similar to my M2.

Haven't been able to find any pics online.

I had an issue with my M2 bolt occasionally not locking back into battery so I polished the feed ramp with a dremel and it made a huge diffference,

My M2s are perfectly reliable.

I'm looking into this detent system for a specific application.

If anyone has one and can provide me a picture or two, let me know

Thanks

Here are some pictures comparing the bolts of my Ethos (silver) to my SBE2 (black)

Just as a note all the dimensions appear to be the same, the only noticeable differences I can see are:
- the location on the small pin on the side that holds the firing pin in the bolt,
- the ball detent in the bolt,
- the extra groove machined in the bottom of the bolt head

I'm not sure if it's possible but this new bolt could potentially work in another Benelli given the proper "tail" (piece that pushes against the recoil spring) was used

Thank you!

You are correct, all the dimensions are the same between the two.
Only significant difference is the detent and groove.

This is exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks again
