I may be getting an M2 28” barrel length for hunting & like to hear results and reviews on this particular shotgun, is it a workhorse like they say it is, also the butt pad is it same as a Benelli Super Black Eagle 2?

Thanks for looking, looking forward to trying this out, I live in an isolated town so I’d be much happy to go to a gun shop or any other gun stores to shoulder guns but cannot do so.

I have a 12 gauge M2 that I purchased from my son about 2 years ago. He had bought it used from Williams Arms and had it ceracoated and the stocks dipped. Anyway it has performed flawlessly for me with everything I have run through it from 1 oz target loads to steel BB goose loads. I believe it takes the same recoil pad as the SBE 2 but not 100 % on that.

I have extensively used an M2 for years now in 3 gun competitions. It sees a lot of rough use without always oiling it, and without always caring for it. It almost never fails me and the M2 is an extremely popular shotgun in the 3 gun sphere. Just about the only thing that can go wrong is with light or recoil reduced ammo (which wouldn't come up in a hunting gun)

I would buy without hesitation assuming the price is right.

How much would you pay for a new Benelli M2 12ga with 28" barrel, i found one for $1000 shipped new, black synthetic, do that seem low for a new Benelli M2 that has never been shot? the buddy sent me pictures but seems to be from google images but wouldn't know, he said he'll send two photos including his PAL & drivers license.

That price is so low I'd be concerned that it is a scam.

I bought mine used after waiting for several months for a deal to come up, and when that deal finally came up, I still paid about $1250.

Just about the lowest I see used ones here on CGN is in the ~$1300 range. Brand new for $1000 doesn't sound right.

That sounds a little fishy especially if you cross reference the images he sent you with Google images......almost guaranteed a scam please be aware

I asked him if he could send a few more pictures with his name on a paper next to the gun, but all he said was i don't need to worry about anything, so sounded fishy so i told him I'll pass.

Just pass dude.

The only way I would do that deal is in person after getting all his personal information and extensive photos

The gun wasn't posted on here but i had a WTB add on here & on my ad i posted my email & thats how the buddy offered me the "new" benelli M2 so wouldn't know who would it be on here also asked him if he is on this site he didn't respond to it, so i just left it at that, & passed on the deal.

If I remember right...this is how a lot of scams are carried out. sellers on CGN are supposed to contact you through PM function and I think that's why the site admin recommends against listing your email in a WTB ad
