Benelli M2 and M4

I owned one years ago - they are not that reliable if you don't shoulder it properly.

I will stick with some other mechanism.

Do you mean the inertia (M2) or the gas operate M4?

I thought the US government choose the M4 (M1014) because it satisfied their reliability test and rumor was the inertia operate will not cycle properly like you mentioned if not shoulder properly that's why the M4 was chosen, can you give us little more details on what you have experience with them?

Thx

The only thing I know, is that you can NOT bump fire the M4 super 90 (from the hip) with bird shot :p

Everything else I have tried to do with it, it has fired the shells with grace.

The M4 is super fast action with little recoil to allow you to stay on target...count the shells

How versatile is this gun? (M4)???

Took mine 3 times to Northern Sask for a weeks goose hunt. Aside from not being able to shoot 3.5 inch shells, It downed as many ducks and geese as my buddies in the next layout blinds. Even bought one for my wife and she loves it! Easy to swing , and gentle to shoot. A routine field stop by the Conservation officers got a few blinks, but he didn't flinch when he saw our M4's ..LOL..

One thing my wife really likes is the handgrip stock....she says it is easier than twisting the wrist... and the handgrip absorbs some of the recoil. She shot 3 inters all week no problem.
