As a leftie, I was pretty disappointed with the Benelli M2. What I mean is, making a left handed product, but not fully integrated to the left hand side. What I found was that it was simply a right handed shotgun with an ejection port on the left side. Even the case that the gun comes in is made for the right handed version. In order to put it in the case, the charging handle has to be removed. Does that seem right? Of course the safety is flipped for ease of use, but the de-cocking and cocked indicator are on the same side as the right handed model. They would certainly work better on the other side, but I will have to get used to it.
Am I asking too much from (in my opinion) a medium to higher end field gun? Benelli certainly doesn't mind charging more money for the left handed model. Maybe the price difference only reflects the engineering associated with moving the ejection port?
Maybe I should just shut up and be happy someone thinks about us minorities. What do you think?

I'm a full time lefty and never ever had an issue the few times I got to play with a right hand M4 at all.

Personally I found everything on the right hand gun extremely natural to operate as is, my trigger hand supports the gun during a reload and I barely go off target and my right hand slips back from the foregrip to rack the charging handle then slides right back into place.

I've never seen a LH M4S90... and you say 'field gun'... you MUST mean an M2. :)

As a LH shooter, I've ALWAYS used RH shotguns without issue. Even on my M4S90 I haven't 'flipped' the safety... muscle memory is important, and I don't want it any differernt than my 870s!

LH bolt guns I do use exclusively... but semi's and shotguns - RH only.

Yeah, sorry boys, my mistake, it is an M2. I have changed the posting.

I too have had rightie guns my whole life. I just sold my first car, and thought I would treat myself. (keep the memory alive, of the first car through the shotgun) I thought that maybe the leftie version would be a better fit. Just disappointed in the finished product.

Yea I agree that the Benelli should be assembled as a fully operational left hand gun. It isn't and the extra charge for left eject is not and excuse to charge more money for the gun. Lots of other choices like a Browning BPS. It's not a semi but it's functionally a left hand friendly shotgun.

Ya same here have the benelli m2 field in left hand as I'm a left hand shooter. I would have like to see the bolt release on the left side as well but no biggy.

Played that game with an sb2 left hand and sold it for an sx3 and just switched the safety for a left hand shooter. An sb2 is like 2k with taxes in and sx3 is like 1000.
