Hi folks, looking to pull the trigger on an M2 in camo as a sort of do-all shotgun. I am not new to Benelli as I have an R1 and an Ultralight. I was wondering if I could get some opinions on some specific M2 attributes.

1. Camo finish? Does it hold up well?

2. Light loads? Does this gun handle them well?

3. Comfortech? Does it work well and do the softer cheekpieces and recoil pads hold up to use?

Thanks for your input,

Patrick

I picked up a used M2 in camo a little over a year ago.The camo is chipping off where the barrel meets the action. It was that way when I got it and it hasn't got any worse. The gun cycles everything I feed it,from 2.75" target loads to 3" turkey loads to rifled slugs. The cheekpiece and recoil pad have stood up well.I guess the comfotech stock works because it is a fairly light shotgun and I don't notice the recoil.I have used the gun for waterfowl, turkeys and targets and I am pleased with the gun.I see you are in T.O.,I'm just east of Oshawa,if you want to have a look at my M2 or shoot it just send me a pm and we'll set something up. Cheers Bac4

I have a M2 tactical and it handles the cheapo walmart Winchester 2 3/4" 3dram 1 1/8oz shells no problem

Make sure to lube it good though

I have an M2 Tactical as well and it cycles absolutely everything I feed it. When I first bought it I lubed it up and put 500 rounds of cheap 2.75" trap shot, about 20 3" magnum slugs, and a bunch of assorted other stuff from 3" BB shot to 00 buckshot through it in a single afternoon to "break it in" and it cycled it all flawlessly, endlessly. I've used it a lot since then and I just love it. Fun shotgun. Expensive, but well worth the $$$.
