Anybody tried replacing the buffer( recoil ) spring to a Wolf Reduced Power Spring, planning to use for light loads (1 oz -2 3/4 dram and Mild recoil slugs- 1 oz with 1200-1300fps. Thanks

Gently heat up the stock nut retaining screw, this guy on the black part of the tube:

You'll want to be careful not to heat it up too much, just enough to get it hot. I do believe they use a some form of thread lock and the heat is used to help break whatever it is they use.

They say a 17mm wrench will work, but this was absolutely not the case for me.

What I ended up doing was clamping the stock retaining nut in a bench vice and twisting the receiver with both hands.

Does that make sense?

Have you tried using the reduced power spring?

I have one in mine. Cannot shoot the Clever 1oz but everything else runs fine

Mine runs fine with fine with 1oz low recoil slugs and 2 3/4 dram 1oz loads.

Are you currently having issues with 2 3/4 dram shells?
Your original post says "planning to use light loads"

You shouldn't have issues with 1oz 1200-1300fps loads and your stock recoil spring

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

its nice to experiment sometimes, no problems so far on my 3 drams,

I have not had any issues with any types of rounds in my M2. I agree, don't mess with it. The M2 recoil is pretty soft to begin with.
