I just bought a brand new Benelli M2 in camo and have immediately noticed that the camo can be chipped off of the receiver very easily. I have not even fired this gun yet, has anyone else experienced this? I can literally scratch the paint off with my fingernail. I am trying not to be too fussy but this is $1500 gun. I am confident that Benelli/Epps will look after this situation, I am just concerned that it is a problem inherent to these guns. I have owned other camo guns and the finish seemed much tougher. Not impressed,

I purchased my M2 used and the camo was coming off the front of the receiver where the barrel meets it.I've had the gun for a couple of years now and it hasn't gotten any worse.I had to check mine after reading your post and my camo doesn't scratch off with my fingernails.Hope Epps/Stoeger makes this right for you. I have a sbe camo barrel that I'd like to get the camo off, but can't. Tried everything, even acetone.

Don't think it should flake off that easy.

I have a SN in camo and the finish is still going strong with no issues, and about 100 shots. I wonder if Benelli has a different camo process for a $600 vs $1500 gun??
