I picked up a Canuck Operator not long ago just for a fun gun, not really expecting much.
There were a couple issues... the trigger would not function correctly... if there was any side load on the trigger, it would not fire. The store where I bought it was nice enough to take a look at it and resolved the problem without sending it back for warranty.
The other issue was with the choke tubes... They cut the slots after honing the bore. That left burrs on the inside of the choke tubes. They were so heavy that at first I thought they wanted them there, but the broke off easily enough with a small needle file.
Other that what I mentioned here I find it to be reliable even with light skeet loads and I like the gun more than I ever though I would.
Recoil is nothing like an inertia driven gun. The Canuck Operator feels like a normal gas gun under recoil. Not quite as soft as a Rem 1100 but still quite tolerable.
I did see a video on youtube where a guy damaged the bolt during testing, but mine shows no evidence of such damage.
Never tried the RA.
