Benelli M4 EXT

The supernova stock is a better feeling stock than the original M4s90 stock, but it's kind of a cheap out, the Aluminum stock locks up much tighter and feels better... Just need a better cheek piece to make it feel better ;)

The bigger carrier release button is nice, that's the biggest downside of the OEM controls, but the stock charging handle leaves a lot to be desired as well.

Holy cow, just looked at Benelli's website, 300 bucks (US) extra for a cheaper stock, an extended mag tube and an extended carrier release button. That's a rip off, sorry guys....

I wish it were available with rifle sights or even something like the new Fabarm Q.T.A. sight:

Ghost rings are a handicap for most tactical shotgun uses IMO.

I mean, I'm not saying you're wrong but I've used my M4 for hunting, clay shooting and tons of other stuff and never said to myself "Man I hate these sights". At worst the ghost ring wings give a little but of clutter for aerial targets, but they are there to protect the adjustment mechanism, and I've shot out to 100+ yards with slugs with this puppy accurately, so it's definitely a good use for accurate iron sights on a gun like this.

The M4 is designed as a purpose built combat shotgun with use in mind against ground targets, so using buckshot and slugs is pretty much its preferred diet. I've definitely used the irons for more than just that, but if you're looking for a gun that really excels for air targets, than IMHO the M4 isn't the gun you should be looking at :)

To me they make tracking fast moving targets a lot more difficult and are distracting for close range shots.

I do like them at longer distances, but then again open sights work just as well for me there without me slowing me down on the close fast stuff.

I'm surprised the M4 Drone Guardian model at least doesn't offer a different sight setup.

I bet they're expecting people (using them for drone defense) to just put a red dot or EOTech that sits up too high to even use the sights anyways :p

I generally don't like optics on a shotgun, but can understand why the military specified an optics mount.
