I just bought an m4 on the EE with a fixed stock. I've heard that the collapsible stock wasn't so great, but I think they look a lot better. What stock do you think is better?

I've got the collapsible stock on my M4. Works just fine for me. And just in case someone else might shoot it, the stock is adjustable for a better fit. I agree that it also looks way better than the fixed stock.

Collapsible stock BLOWS. I bought my Benelli M4 NIB with collapsible stock, I'm a lefty....every time shooting the stock would unlock from fully extended position, weird ah. Yes, it looks cool with stock collapsed, I know.

I ordered a factory Benelli OEM solid M4 stock from Brownells for $200 USD and installed it, sold the collapsible stock on the EE for $200 CDN shipped if I remember correctly....probably 6 years ago.

The solid stock is AMAZING on the Benelli M4, damn I miss that Italian master piece. 50 yard head shots with 1oz rifled slugs bench rest, all 5 slugs dead centre on single piece of white writing paper, those military peep sights/ghost ring sights are amazing.

Keep the solid stock if you like it, but it's yours so whatever you like better. I think it cause I'm a lefty maybe the stock would unlock while shooting.....never happened to any of my buddies who were right handed.

I have one with the collapsible stock.. have no issues with the stock itself. .. only problem I have is the stock angle. I can't use any optic other than the factory irons. . I tried an xps eotech and I would have to set my chin on the stock to use the dot. That's in the fully extended position.

I just got a M4 with collapsible stock, I love it. You can have it extended for shooting and then shorten it right up for storage. I have had not one issue with it so far. Plus it looks ###y as hell.

I just replaced my factory collapsible stock with a Mesa Tactical Urbino and I like it a lot more . It's the angle . I have a riser on the Mesa Tactical and my eyes line up perfectly with the Aimpoint T2 Micro .

I had my M4 (sold it now) for about 3+ years and never had any issues with the collapsible stock. Granted I didn't shoot the gun much but the collapsible stock, like the rest of the gun is built like a tank. It's built for the military, it's indestructible. So to answer the original question, definitely go for the collapsible stock, IMO at least.

I replaced the original stock with the same package you did. Best money you could spend on this shotgun. It's a dramatic difference in usability and comfort. I also installed the shotshell accessory on both the receiver and the stock.

I purchased mine with a fixed stock and purchased a collapsible stock and replaced it. Looks better and is a better fit for me. I kept the fixed stock though in case I ever sell the gun - buyer has the option - like I'll ever sell it though ; )

I've got the adjustable stock... I don't have any real problem with it, but I certainly don't love it. I've been contemplating getting myself a fixed stock see which I prefer.

Best thing you can do is use it and decide for yourself.

I was going to add something here about the Mesa Tactical unit, all good, but I think everyone's already got the info available.

The Urbino is probably the best bang for the buck upgrade to the stock. I have the tele-stock, but one of my first major projects was to change the cheek piece out so it didn't beat up my face!

Made of fibreglass and synthetic leather on top. Can comfortably use the irons with the stock in the middle position!
