Benelli M4 help with Trijicon RMR

Out of curiosity, why would you go with such a tall mount on a Benelli M4? Unless the scalarworks I saw online weren't the only RMR mounts, but i can't imagine why you'd want to go much taller than the factory irons. Visions of smacked cheek bones due to a poor cheek weld.

As for the question, I'd go with the 9 or smaller. I find the 4 moa dots to be huge personally, have you had the chance to look through any of them?

The Scalarworks mounts co-witness the irons on the M4. You're looking at their AR mounts. :)

I have the 12.9 moa green triangle and think it's great. I zeroed the tip of the triangle for slugs at 50 yards. Much easier to get accuracy vs. a 9moa dot, in my opinion. Used it for doves in Texas last December as well... it was AWESOME!!!

I second the 12.9 moa triangle. As mentioned previously the triangle is excellent for sighting in the tip top for distance and laying the body of the dot over anything close.

I really like the triangle reticle for a shotgun, I had a DeltaPoint on my M4 for a while (ended up putting it on a handgun) but you get a nice point for slug shooting and a big easy to see reticle for fast acquisition.
