I am thinking of getting an optic for my M4. Something in the way of a red dot like Aimpoint or Trijicon. I am looking for suggestions from people who have the M4 or anyone who has an optic mounted on their shotgun. Thanks.

Light and small is the way to go

Check out Doc optic

I have M4, I dropped Bushnell TRS-25, I did not like it at all, my personal opinion, iron sights are best choice

I use a T1 in a Larue low mount.... great optic, but not cheap!

I'm considering moving back to the stock GR's... the optic is cool, but not necessary at all.

The best thing about the optic is you can use it when the stock is in the middle posiition... that's tough with the stock ghost rings... you need it fully extended to get a good cheek weld, and for the shorter folks, it's pretty long!

I'll let you guys know if its good when I get home :)

if running a docter type of optic, what would you guys go with?
7moa or 3.5 moa?

I'm feeling 7moa would keep you in perspective that you are shooting a shotgun, but I'm looking to get one to also fit on a plinking 22 once in a while

his works great..fast on target..put the dot where you want to hit...K.I.S.S.

I used to have an M4, now I have an 870 Wingmaster that has an Aimpoint H1. Love this RDS, especially since I'm right handed and left eye dominant. I wouldn't be able to shoot a long gun otherwise
