Those groups look like you were using the iron ghost ring sights at about 50 yards. At least that's what mine look like. I can see how a wide field of vision would be handy in a combat but for paper plinking I just can't get used to that mr1 ghost ring. At 100yrds with a 4x scope I was making minus 2" groups with a bench to rest my elbow. Hand loading I've seen a mini 14 do about the same.
