Benelli MR1 (used) - good deal? more info inside

Haters, or just people who acknowledge that QC matters?

Haters. People who, when talking about the XCR, are probably wearing a bedsheet and having a weenie roast on an XCR owners lawn.

Man, s*** gets derailed fast when people talk about the XCR doesn't it? It's a nice looking rifle, I have never shot or owned one so I can't comment on QC but I'm thinking I'll pass after shouldering one, it just didn't speak to me.

The Tavor and the T97 felt great however, the weight balance you get from a bullpup is pretty nice, the gun feels half it's weight, pretty sure you could fire it one handed if you wanted to go full Rambo. The search continues. Thanks for the advice everyone!!

Haters, or just people who believe in voting with their dollars?

Haters. People who vote with their dollars buy the rifle they like and enjoy it. clvtch, for example, says the rifle doesn't speak to him. That's cool. He should enjoy what he enjoys. That's not hating.

There are, however, a small number of people, XCR bigots, who haunt this forum. They go into any thread the XCR is mentioned in and spread myths and falsehoods, like the "locktite" myth. Those people take it to another level. They just don't personally dislike the XCR, they come into any XCR related forum and bash it. They go out of their way to attack it, usually with generic "my buddy had one that had a problem" comments. No specifics, no diagnoses, just random unanswerable issues that they completely pulled from their asses.

Nothing wrong with the XCR, i got 2 and sold them back, i dont hate them, i just happens to think that for 2500.00 i can do a lot better with something else, would like to know how many of us would choose a XCR over a SA NM M1A for the same money, asking the question here... JP.

So what's your guys thoughts on the MR1 as a coyote gun. Been tossing around the idea of selling the bolt action and getting a semi for yotes.
