Thinking about picking one of these up, anyone have any opinions/feedbeck on it?
One other question, does it fire 5.56 NATO interchangeably with .223?

There is a lot of feedback here on CGN (including haters who have never used it). I agree with Caramel that its the best semi .223 non restricted that takes AR mags on the market. Make sure you handle it first, it's love or hate ergonomics with this rifle. If you plan on using open sights it's good to go out of the box. If you plan on any optic that's not a red dot then you need to mod it to avoid "chin weld". I removed the rear sight and existing rail and replaced it with a custom rail that runs the full length (six screws to remove). If you want a gun to hang lots of crap off of, it's not the best platform. Beyond that it very reliable and it's out-of-the-box accuracy is on par or better than any of the other semi in the $1-$4k range that I have handled. I think it actually lists 5.56 on the website as the chambering.

They are very solid guns. Nice and light and reliable. The ergonomics are (as already stated) love or hate.

I got used to my Benelli M4s90's feel and ergonomics therefore I love the feel of the MR1 (on my short list of stuff to buy). It definitely has a shotgun feel to it, if you're not used to using a longer stock, I'd suggest the tele stock since you can adjust it quite a bit to fit your length.

A nice Aimpoint or other red dot would be a good combination, but It has some nice LPA ghost ring sights which are very nice irons.
