Benelli Nova Slug Gun

So I am turning my old trusted benelli nova into strictly a slug bear gun. Anyone have any suggestions for accessories or anything I should do to it. Thanks, Trevor.

First gets some challenger slugs and see if it will throw a group at 30 yards. Then if it Will at least group you can add sights or a scope to get the group to match up with your Poa .point of aim ..no need to go any further if she will not group slugs in a three inch group at 50 yards. Dutch

Depends, is your Nova a field gun or a tactical model with a picatinny rail and ghost ring sights?

Does that have a fixed choke? What length barrel?

Nope 28 inch barrel removable chokes.

Use the Improved Cylinder choke in the barrel. Since the receiver isn't drilled and tapped for a scope mount, you can get that done and have a scope base put on. Or you can get those clip on fiber optic rifle sights that attach to the rib.

However, a field gun with 28'' barrel, and the Nova is already an 8 lb gun is quite heavy and unwieldy to be humping around in the bush. Its best purpose is for waterfowl and clays in my opinion. I brought it grouse hunting once, it wasn't the best choice for weight and length. YMMV
