Anyone own one? What do you think? I am looking for comments (pros and cons) on each. I wanted a scattergun to start 3 gun with, and was gonna build one up on an 870 platform I have, but I figured by the time I get a barrel, ghost ring setup, stock, mag extension, blah blah blah, I might just be money in to buy a Benneli or a Mossy. Thoughts?

There aren't too many add-ons for the Nova and they are hard (and expensive) to come by.

I have a regular Nova and it is a smooth and reliable shotgun. It does have a serious kick, and, from my experince and the many posts on CGN, it seems to fit tall shooters (I'm 6'1").

It is easy and quick to dis-assemble for cleaning.

I'm somewhat familiar with the 590A1. It's finished really nice and feels solid.
You get some nice "stuff" on the factory model (GR sight, heavy bbl, tange safety, steel trigger guard, bayonet lug, etc.)
A little heavy compared to my Fabarm 14" Composite, and goes for $589 at Epps. Dave'll even through in a couple of boxes of shells!

590A1 all the way! Great value, the reciever is an anodized aluminum alloy and the barrel and magazine are both parkerized. It also has a bayonet lug..... :D

Thanks for all the comments folks, but my mind was made up for me today. I stopped into a local shop and left with a good deal on a Wingmaster with a 20" slug barrel and choate mag extension. I may add a ghost ring rear sight and maybe an "ugly" stock sometime. It is in damn near minty shape, I couldn't turn it down. Thanks again for all the input.
Cheers!
