benelli nova

hello guys,
I am planning of getting a shotgun ( $400-700) range this coming christmas. thinking of getting a benelli Nova12g.w/ 18 inches bbl. basically its primary purpose is for IPSC , no plans of using it for hunting. any suggestions or recommendations of which make or model best suited for this? thanks

If you get the Nova, get the recoil reducer and the limbsaver recoil pad. You will love it for the slugs...

The nova has a long stroke because its setup to take 3.5" shells, you may not like this. Im getting the 26" version, it should be here in a week. Also mag extentions are difficult to get.

thanks for thE input guys, can you recommend where can I get a SUPER NOVA TACTICAL?, 18-22 BBL?, by the way the winchester1300 series is easier to find, Le Baron have a stock, same with the Remington Marine model. what do you think of this makes, like I said its for IPSC TYOE OF SHOOTING.

wholesalesports lists the nova tactical 18" in there catalog(with sights), you would have to phone to see if they have any in stock. $519

Are all the Nova barrels interchangable with all the different models? Say if I bought a tactical with an 18.5" barrel, could I put a 28" standard or a 24" rifled barrel on it?

I would say they would be... They sell spare/extra barrels on allot of US sites.
