Benelli SBE 3 feed back

The 2 guns I'm looking at is the SBE3 and the Beretta A400...I like the feel of the SBE3 better though

What do you think of the A400?

The A400 is an excellent gun, if it fits you. We used to have two SBE2 shotguns in our waterfowl group, but now we have two A400s, and the rest are Maxus/SX-3. All seem to be equally reliable, they just fit very differently.

Maybe just a coincidence but most of my friends who were Benelli shooters for years have moved back to gas autoloaders.

The same with our group.

The a400 is a great gun. I'm a fan of gassers and own 3 Beretta a400 xplors. I've yet to see one fail on the skeetfield that could be traced to the actual gun and not bad reloads

I've been running one since '17 and they first came out. On paper it seemed high from factory and its definitely due to the rib geometry. I ended up losing the front bead and replaced it with a taller one, and that seemed to have helped, but in all honesty I've just been running the gun as is and it's hitting whatever I look at. It ain't a hill worth dying on lol.

As far as reliability goes, it's solid. Such a minimal amount of things to go wrong with it, and it eats everything. Honest numbers of what its seen for steel through it is approx 5500-6000 rounds now with zero issues. No complaints on my end. Would definitely buy another.

I have one in 20 gauge and love it. Reliable with everything Ive fed it. Super soft shooting and throws awesome patterns with the factory chokes.

A friend of mine was a dyed in the wool Benelli shooter started with the original H&K Black Eagle, then the Benelli SBE then SBE2. When he looked into going to the SBE3 he did not like the way they shot so high and went to an A400. He thinks the A400 is the best autoloader he has ever owned. My wife shoots an A400 and it is a very nice gun but I do not think it is any better in terms of reliability or function than my SX3. It just looks prettier, lol. Maybe just a coincidence but most of my friends who were Benelli shooters for years have moved back to gas autoloaders. My own personal preference of the Black Eagle series of guns from those I've shot and been privy to having friends hunting with them for years is the original H&K Black Eagle. I'd own one of those if I could find a good one at a decent price.

This was me! Loved and still love my benellis. But after testing and playing with a sbe3, I was almost forced to go to an a400. I'm really loving it minus the bulk. Soft shooting, and very reliable. And no Benelli click. But I'm sure if you put an SBE2 back in my hands, I'd be a happy guy again

I bought the SBE3 today(for me) and (a Nova youth 20ga for the grandson) put about 125 rds (1 1/8 target 2 3/4" 7 1/2) through mine...with the D shim in the stock I'm getting 60/40 to 50/50 pattern at 40 yards with the M extended choke.

Ear to ear smiles here :)

Thanks for the all in put both pro and con.

Awesome! Glad to hear! Maybe it was the earlier run that had the POA/POI issues. Encouraging to hear it might be resolved.
