I am looking at purchasing a sporting 20ga autoloader for shooting skeet and sporting clays. Your thoughts and comments are welcomed about the Benelli 20g sporting semi autos. Thanks.

I do not want this to sound like I have anything against Benelli.Give a Beretta 391 Sporting model a look before you buy. I have one with a 30 in barrel and really enjoy shooting it. It makes a great field gun. You will also save a few bucks.

Picked up benelli supersport about a months ago and i absolutely love it, fits me like a glove and hardly any recoil. Real easy to clean compere to any gas operated semis i owned before. Mine is in a 12 ga but they come in 20 ga to.

This is one semi that I can actually say makes a difference i recoil even though it is very light weight!
I was VERY impressed with the one I shot, anmd if i was going to buy a semi it would be that one.....

When in the market for a 20 gauge clays gun I went back and forth between the Benelli Super Sport and the Beretta 391 Sporting. The Beretta was chosen but it was very close. What tipped the balance was probably because I already had one in 12 gauge and was familiar with the system.

The Benelli fit me well, was very light and handled nicely. What I didn't like when compared to the Beretta was the heavy trigger pull, the glow stick front sight and the barrel porting. My semis do double duty as hunting guns and I typically don't wear ear protection in the field so porting is not for me.

But the Benelli is a fine shotgun and I continue to be tempted by them.

I shot my first 100 straight yesterday with a benelli cordoba - 28inch barrel with the Z shim and casted right (should you want to know the exact fit!)

They are wicked guns and if you treat them right it will never fail. I would guess I have 3-4k worth of shells through mine. If you get one for the right price jump on it.
