James Reeves at TFB TV is at EOS 2026 in Parma, Italy taking a first look at the brand new Benelli Supernova 3 Tactical. This updated pump action shotgun builds on the legendary Supernova platform with a new 5-position telescoping stock, redesigned pistol grip, enlarged trigger guard, and a corrosion-proof technopolymer receiver now drilled and tapped for optics. Benelli also claims the locking system draws from the proven M4, raising some interesting questions about durability and performance. Available in 14” and 18.5” configurations with ghost ring sights and modern tactical features, this might be the most relevant Supernova yet

Not my thing, but new shotguns are cool.

Looks interesting, but not sure I’d give up my original SNT with the 3.5” shell option. The MLOK forend would be nice though, the current shellstop is a good feature at least.

I wonder if the rep misspoke about the receiver being all polymer, or if there is still skeletonized steel inside?

I’m also reading some comments about the M3 stock and current SNT, but wonder if they can actually remove the metal rod portion too, or just the stock itself? I think it’s pretty much the exact NR length from the 14” barrel to the rear beaver tail, so that would be interesting.
