Benelli super nova vs. browning bps vs. remington 870 wingmaster vs. mossberg 500

So the 870 wingmaster is different from all the other terrible modern 870's?
I don't want to end up getting a wingmaster and realizing its as badly made as the express.

I just picked up a brand new Wingmaster a few weeks ago. I can assure you it is just as good as the old ones...and I have many 870 models to compare it to. I also have a new Wingmaster Classic Trap on order...hopefully it will be here in time for summer!

Sounds great, how much was the wingmaster classic trap? Havnt heard much about that one.

I was told "should be around the $900 mark!". They don't seem to be big sellers here in Canada which could explain the lack of exact figures. I didn't care...put $500 down to get it ordered and will fork over the balance when it arrives...got tired of trying to find a used one!

Sounds awesome, not to expensive either. I'm sure it will make a great trap shotgun.

I have a Benelli Supernova and Remington 870 Police Max. 870 functions better, is easier to use, nicer looking, much better and smoother slide, better trigger, much better pistol grip and butt. However, it's outside finish gets scratched and worn out easier in my opinion.

Supernova seems like a better all weather/condition gun that won't rust easy, you don't worry about wiping it down with oil after handling and scratches don't matter since it's all plastic moulded so the steel is protected. Another plus is you get the option of shooting 3 1/2 shells through it as well.

I like em both, but prefer the feel of my 870, just fits me better.

I just bought a brown BPS The fit and feel was way better than them bellelli that i was thinking of getting. The pump slide is way smoother also the nova felt really clunky were as the BPS was smooth. The BPS is bottom ejection also so it can be used LH or RH handed and the emptied don't make as big of mess

Ya I'm going to have to get my hands on a bps before making my decision.

Browning BPS 20" All Weather review:

http://blog.morrisonarms.com/2012/04/browning-bps-all-weather-20-stainless-barrel/

Interesting, I'd consider one if it was cheaper and had an 18" barrel. The BPS has everything that I'm looking for in terms of ergonomics, and I like the downward eject.

My ultimate HD gun would be a custom 20 gauge BPS with 14" barrel, wonder if the custom shop could hook me up since they're not made in the US?

I doubt they'd do it unfortunately, a mag tube length barrel on a BPS All Weather would indeed be something special.

I wouldn't be worried about 18" or 20", two inches is so little difference it's inconsequential if you ever pull out a tape measure and look at it. 6" shorter makes a difference, but 2" is less than the length of a Bic pen cap. You can always cut one to 18.5" and put ghost rings or better yet rifle sights on it. The BPS does indeed handle and shoot better than a Remington or Mossberg, and is of significantly and noticeably higher quality.
