Benelli Super Sport 20ga. at P&D

So I was in P&D today picking up my new safe. I was over at the shotgun counter trying to decide on what options I wanted to order for my safe when it happened. I saw a Benelli Super Sport in 20g!! They actually had one in stock!! Thanks to Gus and Diane I walked out of the store having paid for my very expensive safe and a brand new Super Sport!!

Now I have wanted a 20g shotgun for many many years. And I had my heart set on a Super Sport for about the last 2 yearsish??

Having said all of this,..I have never fired a 20g. The closest would be a 28g A400 extreme.

Can any of you seasoned shooters tell me what ammo to look for in regards to the following categories;

- Trap. Of course only lead and cheap. either 2 3/4" or 3". I am not fussy.
- Canada Goose. I have been using Hyper Steel in my Super Vinci the last few years and I am now used to it. 3" prefered for this.
- Pheasant, grouse, etc...

You left the store with no ammo for the gun shame on you :p . for target loads # 7.5 or 8 lead 2 3/4 " what ever brand you can get at the best price . for 3' steel hunting loads there is kent ,federal, Winchester .
 
Make sure you get brass rimmed shells whatever you buy. The cheap Federal, Winchester and Remington's have non brass rims and I have seen lots of trouble with those in pumps and semis. I prefer Challenger if you can find em, failing that you can't go wrong with AA. Most of the target loads will be 7/8 oz which is quite good for targets.
 
Thanks guys. I did purchase 500 rounds of Winchester high brass 2 3/4" 1 ounce #8 for target shooting. At $11 per box of 50 I figured it wasn't to bad.

My lack of knowlage in the 20ga. department is what brought me here to see what others are using.

For waterfowl you can use Kent Fasteel 2's to very good effect with your 20 gauge, and I have also used Federal Premium 2 3/4" 4's if they are coming in well over the decoys.
for pheasants many guys just use the stuff from Canadian Tire or WalMart, they work
i prefer nickle or copper lated shot however, as it does not drag feathers into the meat with the shot.
in the days before screw on chokes we adjusted the load to the gun, these days you can switch chokes fir a particular load.
i handload for my upland ammo so use particular wads and shot.
For waterfowl in my 20 I simply use Kent or Federal ammo
