Hey everyone,

I was wondering if any one has any feed back on the benelli supersport?

I am looking for a new autoloader and tried shouldering some at the store. I like a few but wondering if the benelli is over priced as Ive seen people selling them more then my other potentials

Thanks!

I have one, love it. Use it for sporting clay, 5 station & trap. It is expensive but I got a deal. As with all shotguns, make sure it fits. If you are not sure get help. As for hunting I use a Baikal auto, I am a little hard on my field guns. Only other segestion I have it go to the range and see if there are any you can try.

Great guns, fit and finish is amazing. If you cant break clays with the supersport then you shouldnt be shooting clays lol. Only selling mine to get into AR's.

See if anyone around you has one and try her out.

Cheers

I have shouldered it and it feels good, I also looked at some berretta 400s and also like them but the ss has the better sights imo. then I read reviews saying they have some issues with the recoil pad slipping off the shoulder multiple times due to the unique chevron shape..

I guess I was trying to see if there is anyone else saying this or just a browning fan lol

They are good guns, but despite the publicity they have the exact same cyclic rate as the "old" Remington 1100 and aren't as effective in recoil reduction. If you compare the design to a gas operated shotgun they are a very simple design with few parts. IMHO they are way overpriced are selling for about $1000 more than they are worth...then again Benelli does have to find a way to finance all that publicity.

Well I would be a Browning fan as well and never an issue with slippage of the recoil pad on the shoulder of the Supersport. I've never had a hiccup with the gun. Shoot a Browning carbon Sporting as well and nothing negative to say about that one either.
