I just posted the same in another thread but the difference from the benelli nova to the Supernova are very little if any at all. Well untill it comes to felt recoil that is...
The Nova is a shoulder destroying monster when dealing with the 3.5" turkey and goose loads it's designed to fire. (just like any other pump)

The recoil absorbing unit in the stock of the SN is very effective at taking the innitial punch and smoothing it into a more managable push instead.

No gun takes away any recoil really. It just transfers it differently and the Supernova does a nice job of it.

Anyone want to trade their SN for my Nova?:D

Cheers

Mike

Ah Mike, I totally understand how you feel
The nova was my first firearm, I just wanted versatility and reliability! It has pretty much been a safe queen since then LOL
I plan on doing some slug testing this summer to see if it is reliable for the type of terrain i'll be hunting on next autumn...
So far I left the gun home for game that'd require a bullet (or slug) rather than shotshell because a shotty is much heavier than a lil BLR
After my test I'll see if the accuracy is worth the weight...
