I've owned and foolishly sold a Nova in the past, and I'm thinking of replacing it either with another identical gun or with the Supernova. I am familiar with the one-piece construction of the Nova and its synthetic stock/receiver cover. Does the Nova receiver have a similar construction, a frame embedded in synthetic, or is it simply a steel receiver with a hydro-dipped camo covering? I'm leaning towards the Supernova, mainly for the larger trigger guard. I doubt that I'll make any changes to the buttstock, as I found the original Nova fit me quite well as-is. Any info appreciated. Search function yields lots of comparisons, but no answer to this particular question.

The supernova also has the Comfortech stock which has built in recoil reduction. It does work, I was shooting 3.5" winchester this past weekend and recoil was no issue. It also allows for stock adjustment with shims if you want a more custom fit.
