As stated in the title, i was wondering if anyone knows of any suppliers that are in toronto, or that i would be able to buy online from.

i know the Fx Royal 400 is sold by one guy "Dak sport" but he has a bad track record. and i dont exactly want to get a gun from someone i wont be able to trust...

I am looking for either one. (i know the Royal is a better gun, but the marauder is about half the price. and this will be my first PCP air rifle.)

thank you for your time.

DAK has been MIA for over two years now don't waste your time with him.He doesn't return calls or e-mails...............The Marauder won't be happening as I believe they have a built in moderator/silencer..................Harold

i thought about the Discovery, but it dose not have the punch the Marauder does.
Also i kinda liked how you have the choice of going single fire or using the magazine.

Do you have any other suggestions?

i was also thinking about the Eun Jin Sumatra 2500 in .22 or .25 cal

There is only 100fps difference in their ratings. Not enough to worry about IMHO. There is also a RIM (Rotary Index Magazine) available for the Disco that turns it into a manually indexed repeater. Although the Marauder can be purchased in .25, which helps with FPE, the Disco is approx. $220US cheaper.

What would the guns primary use be?

Not sure of your budget, but the Air Arms line of rifles is available in Canada. These are essentially what Crosman copied (the S410 specifically) when designing the Marauder.
They are more money, but you get what you pay for.

The guns primary use would be for rabbits, ground hogs, gophers. and the occasional coyote (~30 yards).

Air arms is looking pretty good at this point.

I would recommend a Condor for hunting the game you have listed. Or the big bore you had mentioned above. An airgun in .25, shooting 25gr would need a muzzle velocity of 1163fps to reach 75fpe. At 30 yards that would equal 55fpe@995fps. Not many airguns out there shooting these numbers, selection will be limited.

Not sure of your location, but, Airgunsource in Peterborough, ON should have them.
If your closer to the west coast, then check out D&L Airgun or Specialty Shooting Sports.

Not sure of you budget, but this is a nice looking gun that would be sure to put a smile on your face... http://www.specialtyshootingsportso...tate-air-ranger-25cal-80ft-lbs/prod_1706.html

Also look at the career models. They sell some 9mm and .50cal.
Sam Yang sells a .45cal model.

oh my god that thing is beautiful!

but it is about 800 over my spending limit. but, then again i dont mind paying for something that will last me, i would much rather spend 2k on a gun and be happy enough with it that i dont have a need to buy another one for the same use.

i live down town toronto.

Any of those companies I listed are reputable businesses in the airgun world. Ordering from the 2 out west usually takes 7 days. I`ve ordered from all 3 and have had no issues with their shipping or service. If you can find something from airgunsource, you`ll have it in a couple days. That Daystate rifle would be all you need. The one I linked to is my dream gun.

DS Air Ranger .22 60fpe model

awesome, thanks for all your help

I own AR 60fpe model - amazing gun! Bought it from SSO, they are really good folks to deal with. I have also bought from Airgun Source in Peterborough, ditto for them too - you can't go wrong with either seller. For a hunter gun, you should also look at the FX line of rifles from the latter dealer I just mentioned. I also have a FX400 Royale(33fpe), its not as powerful as the AR, but its real light, very very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. Typically one hole groups at 25 yds would be the norm - if you're that good of course. The FX Independence(30+fpe) also is a PCP, with an on-board top up pump shooting at 200 Bar pressure. The main feature is that you don't need to travel with high pressure tanks to re-charge the gun when in the field - just a couple of strokes every 3 shots or so to top back up to the full mark. And if you are in the <$2k range, then other brands you might want to look at are: HW, Theoben Rapids, Daystate, FX, Shin Sung, Eunjin - they are good in their own right - so lots of choices. The Dragon Slayer .50 cal, and the like deliver up to 200 foot pounds of energy, that is serious power for an airgun - report blasts like a LR22. That would certainly take coyote size game and way overkill on rabbits and the like. Head shots are the norm for AG hunting, so accuracy is the key, once you get over 20fpe any of these guns would do the job on small game and any of the brands mentioned above are quite capable.
