Howdy fellas.
So the Benjamin Nitro Pistion 22C, in the less-than-500-FPS trim is on sale at my local CT- might look into purchasing.

Any experience with them??

I got the 950 fps version.the trigger Is absolutely horrible.I personally would not buy this rifle in the under 500 fps category, when it is available with2x the velocity. Its long heavy and quiet.

I used one of these last week to take care of 4 pigeons. It worked well shots were inside 30 ft. The trigger is not great but predictable. soft take up followed by a jerk free release. Ct is over priced for these but they are nice. Never shot a group with one but never missed a bird either.

Quick partially related question: Anybody ever use/handle/shoot Beeman's dual caliber airgun? Its on clearance at my CT for less than half price...

I've had my Benjamin NP 22 for a year now and love it! I swapped out the trigger bc the stock one is just plain horrible. At 20 yrds it groups at about 1". But the brand of pellets also helps. I have some crosman pointed and they suck bad but i have some predator polymag and they are the bee's knees! Shoots straight and never miss.

Hope this helps.

They say that the nitro piston is quiet. Would you say that yours is quieter then a 495 fps spring powered airgun or louder. I would like to get the 950 fps in 22 cal. but if it is no quieter I just might pass on it.
