bennili shot gun

Same here, I have the nova and have had no problems with it at all! No experience with the super nova, but I assume it is just as reliable.

Cheers

No experience with the Benelli Nova Pumps but my experience with the Benelli semi auto's has been all good. Currently into a Super 90 and a Super Sport and awesome / reliable guns.

Couple guys at the club are shooting the Nova Pumps in Sporting Clays and they are doing fine and no gun issues that I know of.

i have both a nova tactical and a super nova tactical they function flawlessly and cycle very smoothly plus they feed 2 3/4 - 3 and 3 1/2 inch shells.

Benelli shotguns

I have a Nova Tactical. A very reliable gun. It comes apart so easy its silly.
I was shooting it the other day with some 3.5" shells and was really impressed at how cold the barrel was for the amount of bullets I shot in a row. This gun also seems to feed ANYTHING, which is more than I can say for some other brands on the market. Buy one and you won't be dissappointed.

The Nova with 3.5" loads does kick without the recoil reducer. Then again I imagine all 3.5" guns kick. I am basing my experience on a Nova borrowed for a turkey hunt. Man I thought George Foreman hit me.

cheers Darryl

I was looking at perhaps getting the Benelli H2O Pump... same kind of performance as the Nova and Super Nova (likely the same action etc as these anyway) Anyone have any idea how nice the nickel finish is?

I use mine for skeet, goose, duck, deer, and... well anything that tastes good. It's a super gun.
I've done some bad things to mine and have treated it like an old pair of work boots and i've never had a single problem. It's always smooth.
It gets oil and the odd bore snake. (like the wife;)) Buy it and don't look back!

Looking at one this weekend... how many shotguns should one person own?
Depends if you're into the tactical thing as well as hunting.
If just hunting... one or two (pump and semi)
If tactical is your thing..... I hope you have a good job!
Same as a good side X side or Over /Under skeet gun(if you're serious about skeet shooting). For a good fit and feel, they are crazy expensive!

If you have friends that tag allong.... Buy everything in sight!
:D

The Novas are so good that the only negative comments I've been able to find on several different forums were from old timers who will never accept anything but a "traditional" looking gun, which the Nova is not. Functionally from the experiences of my friends and the writings of testers it is one reliable gun.

I have had nothing but problems with my nova. any shell with high brass on the back jams, and it's a pain to get the spent shell out. I've had it back to wholesale sports twice so far, first time they just cleaned it, which it didn't need, 2nd time they test fired it with 2 3/4 7.5 shot with a low brass on it, since it ejected that shell with no problems, they said the gun just needs a box of shells fired through it. I wouldn't buy one again, or let someone else buy one

I really like my Super Nova Tactical, like the mag cut off feature. But it does jump a bit when firing 3 1/2's through her........
