Bent bolt on a Japaneese Arisaka??

Lets see. Mauser rotary safety, Mauser tangent rear sight, Mauser bayonet lug, yep they are Mausers. Ctg is 7.9 Mauser also.

Mauser-type rotating bolt with two frontal lugs, non-rotating Mauser-type claw extractor, Mauser-type integral magazine......

Ah, yes I see that now the section before this is on the Type 99, this one is on the "doitsu mozeru" (deutch mauser). In that case, I can find no evidence in the book of a bent bolt on an arisaka.

The book is on military weapons used by Japan, so I guess they had issued some mausers.

I believe so, issued to the Monsoon troops for the Uboats, as well as German troops serving alongside the Japanese, if memory serves correctly.

Top Mauser appears to be a Standard Model extensively used by China and bottom looks like Czech 24 which the Japanese used in large numbers.
