bent recoil spring on 1911 - how bad?

ok, so on second take down of my 1911 with full length guide rod, i bent the recoil spring. i straightened it as good as i could and will be ordering a couple of replacement wolf springs but in the mean time, is it ok to take it back to the range? maybe i'll see what happens when i fire it but this must be a common problem with full lenght guide rod 1911's
