anyone know where i can buy .50 beowulf?
Do you have a rifle chambered in .50 Beowulf or are you looking for 5 or 6 rounds to verify your Beowulf mags only hold 5 rounds??
You will have to contact Armtac http://www.armtac.com/ and get the stuff to roll your own. I think Alexander arms are the only manufacturer of loaded ammo. I have never seen any in Canada.
To demonstrate that a .50 mag only holds 5 rounds, you don't have to use .50 Beowulf, you can use 5 rounds of .50 AE which is the parent case of the .50 Beowulf.
Stop looking, you won't find any. According to NRCan there are currently no approved commercial .50 Beowulf cartridges in Canada. All .50 Beowulf ammo in country is handmade.im trying to find an online distributor for the .50 beowulf ammo, and havnt been having any luck

Alexander Arms holds the trademark on the name. They do not hold a patent on the cartridge. You are right, AA still holds the Patent on the Beowulf name, so they are the only ones that make it. Hopefully they won't renew the patent and let other ammo companies manufacture it, like they did with the 6.5 Grendel.
Depends on the magazine. Alexander Arms for some reason likes tilting followers. If you have a tilting follower, then the .50AE cartridges won't work. Can you reliably feed five .50AE rounds into a .50 Beowulf mag without having them pop out? Just curious if the shorter cartridge length affects the mag's ability to hold the rounds.
