Can Berdan primed corrosive military surplus brass be of any use to anyone?
I have been shooting some 7.62 Nato stuff, and the brass appears to be good quality. Is it of any use saving it? or should I just junk it?

Although some people will go through the trouble of using Berdan primed brass I can't see much use for it. It is hard to give away. It is alot of work to reload but can be done, although typical boxer primed brass is way easier, so most stick with that.

I feel your frustration, I used to study snakes in an area where there was a gunrange where someone liked there 7.62x51mm. I collected about 1200 cases over the summer, realizing at the end that they were all Berdan primed. Couldn't sell them on the EE so I sold it as scrap at the scrap yard. Usually I will clean up the ranges of brass when I am there, now all the Berdan stuff goes into a pail that goes to the scrap yard.

Yes, I guess I will have to scrap them, but it does seem a shame the brass is really top quality. I noticed a lot of brass being left lying around, I should collect it and give it to reloaders. I picked up 5 shiney .300 WSM cases yesterday, and could have brought 200 x 9mm and 200 x .223 back home too. Such a waste.
