Berdan primers are sized by a number and not all berdan primed cases use the same size. Not large and small rifle. Re-priming with them is more trouble and expense than they're worth.

really? i have a lot of GP11, rottweil 8x56R, etc brass that throwing away would make me cry.

ive got some that i cant replace, and might have to load. i know they are a pain to do...but......

They are really not a pain if you have the primers and a good decapper. I like the hydraulic ones. The work fast once you are set up and won't damage the anvil which at best won't last very long shortening the life of Berdan brass over Boxer.
