Anybody know a supplier for Berdan Small Pistol Primers?
Got lots of surplus brass case 7.62x25(Tokarev) Berdan primed that I will be wanting to reload once I get some Dies.
Have already de-primed some cases with the hydraulic method. If I had a lathe, I would just drill the primer pocket to Boxer large pistol primers but lack of money for a lathe.
 
I have not seen them on the market before. They are available from our supplier, but we did not have them approved. given the small market for them. Maybe contact RWS and see if thy import any. Unlikely, but possible

Frankly, you are better off buying starline cases and starting with boxer.

If you do use the surplus cases, make sure to anneal the neacks before you try to use them
 
I've been nagging Canada Ammo for those and some other berdan primers too :)

You can pull the anvil from the sp boxer primer and use that. It _is_ a little smaller than the berdan, but I have not seen any issues at the pressures I'm using (and I lacquer over the primers too)
