Beretta 10 ga. sxs

The Beretta model 410 or Silver Hawk in 10 gauge is a very well made fowler. The problem is that they were all made with fixed chokes and are not compatible with steel shot. There are no commercially available lead substitute 10 gauge loads, so you have to either load your own using Nice Shot pellets, or find someone who can install choke tubes in a 10 gauge Beretta.

If I found a nice one at a price that reflects it's current usefulness, I would buy it anyway.

What would be a fair price if one was to find one?

For a Beretta model 410 with ejectors in 10 gauge, 95% or better condition, I don't think I would pay more than $750. For an American market Silver Hawk with extractors I think that $500 would be about right. Your opinion may vary.

You can find Basque made 10 gauge SxS's in the $250 to 300 range, but thy are not so well made as the Beretta.
