Kind of narrowed down my “1 shotgun to do it all” search to this beast with a 24” barrel.

Anyone got one? As good as the reviews say? Magazine extensions easy to come by?

Are there likely to be any Beretta deals on Black Friday or are these things MAP priced?

I was previously looking at the Benelli Vinci tactical combo 2 barrel set but it looks like all the reasonably priced ones have now gone (Al Flaherty's).

I picked up a 1301 Comp with 24" barrel for 3-gun, IPSC and Pin shooting. I also use it for trap and skeet.
I love it, super light, super fast action, points great, accurate with slugs, works with target velocity loads. Comes stock with oversize charging handle and safety, milled loading port and fiber front sight.

Was choosing between a Tac-Ord Versamax, Benelli M2 and the 1301 Comp.

With an mag extension on the 3" chambered 1301 I can get 6 x 2 3/4" shells in the tube plus one on the lifter and one in the chamber. Versa max with the 3 1/2" chamber allows for 7 x 2 3/4" shells in the tube, I did not think that was a significant advantage for my purposes, and it's a much heavier gun.

M2 seems to be the preferred platform for competition but after all the upgrades required for competition it was more money than I wanted to spend.

Look to Tactical Ordinance for the Nordic Components mag tube extension.
 
I have a Gen 1 I’d be willing to part with if interested. I also have two extensions for it. Located in CALGARY.

The shotgun is great, I just don’t use it. I have a multitude of other guns which are more fitted to my competitions shooting.

Thanks for the offer. I was looking for a gen 2 but pm me a price and whatever details you have on the extensions . It can’t hurt to look.
 
Picked one up on a Black Friday deal. What chokes do I need in addition to the IC that comes with it? Not hunting, just for clay sports, slugs and eventually competition or 3 gun hopefully.
