Came here looking for this post.

The 1301 Competition is the the shotgun I've been waiting for the last 5 years and been trying to emulate; a pistol grip would be my only want, but, that stock looks very generous in the grip department.

...and yes, I've already ordered one (21"). :D

Well, I've paid for one... so I guess I'll find out if I am getting it or not at the end of the month :)

I expect a full range report if you do get it!.

This sees like one of those impossible scenarios of value and performance, I'd love to see one here.

Did you order through a third party importer?

Absolutely. Yeah, as soon as I saw the shotgun it was not a difficult decision to make. Lucky too as I was reading some US forums and came across it the day I first posted.
Without a doubt these are the best value/quality shotguns available right now (without handling one of course I make this claim ;)).

Yep. I'll update in a few weeks... I'm now getting a little concerned, the "too good to be true" feeling is starting to sink in. I don't want to jinx anything.

Update:

Fingers crossed, I should have it today or tomorrow. I believe everything has worked out. Pics will follow once I get it in my hands.

I ordered the 21" Beretta 1301 Competition through irunguns.com

:D

No delays. No notification that the shotgun is not allowed to be exported.
Everything went without a hitch and according to Canada Post it is our for delivery as I type this.

irunguns rocks!

No pics yet... but I have been handling it. I am very happy so far with the purchase.

Very light. Furniture has a cheap feel and the anodizing looks dull (similar to an AR-15 receiver). But for $1200 I ain't complaining. I am sure it will work beautifully.

Fit me perfectly right out of the box.

Comes with 1 choke only (Improved Cylinder), choke tool, some stock spacers as well.

Pics will come. Stay tuned. Saturday or Sunday.

I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a tacticool semi-auto 12gauge. It's probably the best on the market right now for what you get and cost (again, think Benelli M2 Tactical minus the ghost ring sights and telescopic stock).

***edit: made a mistake last night, it's more like an M2 :D not M4 ;)

Ok. What can I say... it comes with 1 choke (Improved Cylinder)
Comes with 2 sets of shims; stock setup is C-60-DX, I went with C-65-DX for a "fits like a glove" experience. I love this shotgun based on how it feels when I shoulder it.

It's very light as well. It fits 5-shells (2-3/4") in the tube, but, the end cap retainer must be removed for this.
"Ghost Loading" is also possible for 6+1.

looks to be well made. Not a fan of the safety, the reach is quite far for me.

Oh yeah, it also comes with stock spacers which was a nice touch for those who prefer a longer LOP.

Very decent shotgun and I am certain it will be my new favourite once I get out and shoot it (hopefully this week) :)

Cheers~

...and thanks to GunRunner!

Doh... I just saw you are from Arizona and don't have our silly restrictions.

Awesome :D

Stock, the COMP1301 only fits 4.5 3" shells.
