It depends.If it is one of the Italian Tipo 2 7.62mm conversions,the bbl will be approx .5 inch shorter,as will the op rod,stock,and rear handguard.The bbls for these were made up by shortening standard .30-06 Garand bbls and re-chambering/reaming to 7.62mm.I have built 2 of these,so this is factual confirmation.
Otherwise the bbl,op rod and other components will be the standard Garand length. Commercial Garand bbls are available in .308 Win and can be installed on any make of Garand receiver,including a Beretta.
