I see in my 2008/2009 Beretta Annual that Beretta has another auto loading shot gun avail in 12 and 20 gauge. The 3901. I heard that it may be a reincarnation of the 390? I had two and always regretted parting with them. The only information I have is that the 3901 is made in America. I would assume, that means north america and not south but who know these days? Anyone seen one?

The 3901 is made in the U.S.A. They are a continuation of the 390 line.

They've been available for a few years but only in the U.S. They are not as yet available in Canada as I understand it.

I found it shot well. But the fit and finish was not as good as the Italian ones.

It was originaly a Wally Mart special. Then Beretta USA decided to offer it to everyone. It is assembled with parts from Italy at their plant in Maryland. All parts are interchangeable with the old 390 series.

best regards,
Henry;)

Thanks to all those that replied. I have always liked the 390 and I am sorry I let mine go. Since there seem to very few used ones for sale, I may give one a try if I can get one into the country. The parts are made in Italy. Don't suppose that the Americans could screw up the assembly too bad?
