hi,

i've been trying endlessly for about two months to find another stock for my 682 sporting gun with no luck.
i need help!!!!
what i would like is a sporter stock with adjustable comb,or
a trap stock for a low rib barrel or,
a trap stock with adjustable comb for a low rib.

i would like to use my sporter gun for trap aswell, but when i use it for trap now, it punches me in the face every time.

any info on replacement stocks or advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Stoeger Canada is the Beretta importer and can provide parts. Just order the stock you want from them. Be prepared to wait ... and wait ... but eventually it will arrive.

A shooting buddy recently restocked his 682 with an adjustable comb trap stock (low rib) which he obtained through Italian Sports in Vancouver. I don't know where they got it, or how long it took to get. You could give them a call and ask.

Alot of guys at our club send their guns to Klaus Hyptmayer in PQ to have adjustable combs installed --- about $350.00 I think. Stoeger Canada/Beretta have the worst service in Canada when it comes to wood. I've been trying for 6 years to get a rear stock for a 20ga Franchi AL48. Their gunsmith told me that they are in the business of selling guns -- not stocks.
Good luck!
Cheers, John

http://www.trapshooters.com can be a good source and Joel Etchen http://www.joeletchenguns.com/ is also a good source. Both are in the USA.

Probably your problem is a lack of pitch on the stock. Try putting a couple of flat washers between the recoil pad and the wood under the top screw. This is temporary, if it works put a pitch spacer in place of the flat washers.

thanks for the help so far.
i had a gunsmith in town here try to cut in an adjustable comb but it can't be done on the older sporting stocks because of how hollowed out it is and the bolt angle.
