I bought a brand new Beretta 686 E Sporting and just finished cleaning off all the packing grease that Beretta applies LIBERALY all over the barrel and action. I re-lubed all the areas indicated in the user manual (using Break Free CLP) and am finding it exceedingly difficult to break open the gun. I have to put a considerable amount of effort into opening it up. Its a brand new gun, first over/under though, so is this normal until it's properly broken in? Let me know. Thanks.

A good high pressure type. Beretta markets an anti-galling graphite based grease they recommend. Pro Shot's "Top Gold" is also very good.

They both work well but are pricey. Motomaster makes a high pressure synthetic HP bearing grease, that is cheaper and works very well.
