Beretta 686e Sporting

Pardon my noobness, I've looked everywhere but can't find the answer:

Is "competition" the same as "sporting" in Beretta vernacular?

Would this fit my 686e sporting, non-adjustable comb stock?

Should be the case.

I've been dealing with Stoeger Canada for the last long while about this. I wanted the longer but pad for my 690. It was made clear the HUNTING shotguns have one profile, the SPORTING shotguns have another.

Long story short, I needed sporting, got hunting. Took forever to get the sporting (12+ voicemails) and finally got it.

I was unaware they had spacers, but this is another alternative. They also make 2-3 different size butpads with the microcore.

For reference, I have the 30" 690 Black with B-fast. Sometimes called the 690 Competition I've noticed...

It might fit ... it might not, if you are looking for a spacer that you don't need to have fitted and ground. Assuming that you are looking to add some LOP ... why not just get a thicker recoil pad?

Could do that, it just seems like this is a nice pre-made solution.

I'm looking to for an additional 1/2" LOP.

It should be the same for a dt-10L. I was wondering this too, but couldn't bring myself to order it.

IMHO, if it were my gun, I would get a longer high quality recoil pad. My personal preference is the Kick-eez brand.

Thanks EELL, I understand now...I will investigate some. I see that this method with not change dynamics / geometry at the butt, which is something I was worried about with the spacer.
