Beretta 692

I have a 682 Gold E, and was looking at a friends 692. I still prefer the 682. Add to that, he brought it out the other day and the top lever would not return om it own to the closed position when the gun was closed. The ultimate problem: poor wood to metal fit between the stock and the receiver. The solution *gasp* hand fitting!

The me, the 692 is not as well made as the 682 and sure as hell not worth the price, even with Henry's "small" discount!

Must be a lemon of a Beretta my buddy's got, the ejector selector just broke on his lower barrel. NOT GOOD. Pictures:

Mine broke the exact same way....the worst was that it took about 5 months for me to get a replacement part! I was so happy when my left handed DT11 stock showed up and I could sell my 692!

Cheers,

Brobee

Am I the only one who has a 692 that is perfect.*knock on wood* I know 2 people who have had problems by shearing a bolt or the for end broke. Mine is almost a year old and going strong...

Every manufacturer has produced a gun that has broken at some point ! I like Beretta and would love to own one but, like Stubblejumper, I have yet to find one that shoulders better (to me anyways) than most Brownings do.

I am exactly the same. I just can't shoulder a Beretta that feels right. Nice guns but a Browning always seems to hit the sweet spot for me. That must be why I own 5 of them.

My son shoots a 692 Sporting 32" and has about 20K through it with no problems whatsoever. His has excellent fit and finish and nice wood... feels great... I'm a Browning guy personally though.
