Beretta 71 - safe to carry cocked and locked?

Mine has the through-the-grip safety, and it comes off pretty easily...I don't think I would carry mine cocked and locked.

On the slide or on the frame?? Both of mine are frame-mounted, and I'd have no problems carrying condition 1...

It's on the frame below the slide.

Nice pistolee Geologist!
I read somewhere, maybe the book "Sword Of Gideon" that these were used
by the Mosaad hit team, to hunt down the disbursed Black September terrorists.

There also is an internet rumour, that the ammo used in the rimfires were long bullet, LR profile. Just like the Aquila SSS 60 grain, long rifle cartridges.
