Beretta 87 Target pistol

I'm getting back into bullseye shooting and want/need to buy a new target pistol. I should never have sold my HS Supermatic Military Citation in 1970
Does anyone have any hands on experience with the Beretta 87? Any do's or dont's with this gun? Good news or bad news or whatever.

I have one and it's been a great pistol. Reliable and accurate, it eats any ammunition I've fed it and it's quite accurate. IMHO, the 87T would be better suited for action/practical shooting than bullseye shooting. Here's a short thread from CGN about the 87T:

thanks Misfire. I followed the thread with interest. I noticed at the end of it the 89 was mentioned. Epps has two of these for sale in good shape and I think I'll take a look at them. cheers

I have a friend who shoots a Beretta 87. It's a well made & highly accurate pistol.
