Has anyone installed an after market spring in an attempt to lighten the first trigger pull? I love the single action trigger pull but I can't seem to master the first double action pull. My first shot is always way low. I'd like to keep the single action weight but decrease the double action weight without sacrificing reliability of the pistol if at all possible. There seems to be a few options out there, anyone have any experience with them? I'm using the pistol in IDPA and PPC. Thanks for your help!

Like everyone says, D-spring and practice, I polished all my insides but I'm not sure if it made any difference. You can't really lighten the DA without affecting the SA too but I doubt you'll be upset. The nice thing is D-springs are cheap and fairly easy to change back if you don't like it.(Most guys drive out the roll pin in the lanyard loop but I find it easier to install through the top) I'm not that familiar with IDPA/PPC rules but if they allow it you can get even lighter hammer springs and aftermarket trigger springs too.

I believe there is now a Canadian distributor for Langdon tactical trigger components. If you can find his tuned sear, trigger bar, and Wilson chrome silicone spring, do it. It’s quite simply the best 92 trigger out there.
